Green tiles from soft sage and mint to olive and teal, in zellige, handmade-look subway, kit kat and green marble mosaics for feature walls, splashbacks and bathrooms.

Shades of green

Green is one of the broadest colours in our range. Sage and mint are soft and muted. Olive is earthier and pairs well with terracotta. Teal leans towards blue and suits pools and coastal schemes. Many tiles are offered in several colours, and this page shows each tile's green variant. For only the softest shades, go straight to sage green tiles.

Materials and looks

  • Handmade and glazed: Moroccan zellige, handmade Spanish wall tiles and Kazoku speckled Japanese finger mosaics, where the glaze changes from tile to tile. See zellige tiles and handmade tiles.
  • Mosaics: porcelain kit kat tiles, herringbone, penny round, fluted bamboo and 3D stack mosaics in mint and green marble. Browse marble mosaic tiles.
  • Subway and square tiles: gloss and matt subway tiles, Spanish squares and Italian subway formats for splashbacks.
  • Pool mosaics: green glass mosaics for pools and water features.

Where green tiles work

Green brings colour that still feels natural, which is why it suits bathrooms, ensuites, laundries and kitchen splashbacks. A green shower wall or vanity wall with a plain floor is an easy way in. Most green tiles here are wall tiles, so check the slip rating before using one on a floor. Green also suits a powder room or a shower niche, where a small area of colour has a big effect. If you love it but worry about commitment, a mosaic niche or splashback is easy to change later. Natural marble mosaics should be sealed.

Pairing green tiles

Grout: white grout lifts green subway and kit kat and shows off the layout. A tonal green-grey grout gives a softer, handmade look on zellige. See tile grout.

Tapware: brushed brass and gold is the classic match for sage and olive. Copper warms up deeper greens. Matte black gives a sharper, modern edge. Green also sits well beside timber, terracotta floors and our blue tiles.

FAQs

Which shade of green tile is most popular for bathrooms?

Soft sage and mint are the easiest to live with, as they read as calm and natural. Deeper olive and teal make more of a statement and work best on one feature wall or in the shower.

What colour floor goes with green wall tiles?

Warm neutrals work best: cream, beige, terrazzo or a terracotta-look floor. A plain floor lets the green wall be the feature without competing with it.

Do green zellige tiles vary in colour?

Yes. Zellige and handmade tiles are glazed in small batches, so the shade, sheen and edges vary from tile to tile. That variation is part of the look, so mix tiles from several boxes as you lay them.

Can green tiles be used in a kitchen splashback?

Yes. Glazed green subway, kit kat and square tiles are easy to wipe clean and make a strong splashback. Pair them with a neutral benchtop so the tile stays the focus.
